Emery Medical Center

Emery Medical Center is a family practice and urgent care clinic in Castle Dale, Utah. Emery Medical Center is staffed with four Advanced Practice Providers. In addition to family health, Emery Medical offers women’s health, occupational medicine, physical therapy, urgent care, well child visits and immunizations.

We offer on-site laboratory and x-ray services. Walk-ins are welcome.

Our Team

Lowell Morris, PA-C

Lowell Morris spent several years of his childhood in Orangeville, Utah.  He went on to study Athletic Training and Sports Medicine at BYU.  After graduating, Morris worked as a Student Trainer for the Dallas Cowboys where he worked closely with a Physician Assistant.  The PA scope of work resonated with Lowell as he saw what a great field it is to work in.  After spending time with the Dallas Cowboys, Morris continued his education in order to serve as a Physician Assistant.  During his internship a position opened at the Emery Medical Center.  He knew first-hand Emery County is a terrific place to raise a family so he jumped at the opportunity to come back "home."  Morris specializes in Family Medicine as well as Internal Medicine, and will provide family medical care from geriatric care to pediatrics, diabetic management, urgent care needs, Occupational Health, Wilderness Medicine and will provide treatment for sport related injuries.

Gabriel J. Sermon attended Towson University, in Towson, MD after attending University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, UT. Gabriel brings ten years of experience to Emery Medical Center. Gabriel joined our team after 2 years at Tri-City Medical

Education: Towson University, in Towson, MD; University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, UT

Licensure/Certifications: Certified Physician Assistant, PALS, BLS, AWLS

Personal: Gabe enjoys spending time with his wife and 6 kids, camping, mountain and road biking, and soccer. Gabriel served an LDS mission in Hungary, Budapest.


Ingrid Olsen, PA-C

Ingrid Olsen attended the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona after attending the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ingrid brings nine years of experience to Emery Medical Center.  Ingrid joined our team after seven years in Price, Utah. Ingrid specializes in Women's Health and Family Medicine.

Education:  University of Utah Physical Therapy in Salt Lake City, Utah; Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona.

Licensure/Certifications:  P-AC, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support

Personal:  Ingrid enjoys outdoor activities, volleyball, and spending time with family. 

dalen johnson np-cDalen Johnson, NP-C

Dalen Johnson is a local nurse practitioner, born in Moab and raised in Emery County. He currently resides in Huntington with his wife and four children. He started his education in Price at the College of Eastern Utah, where he met his wife, Tiffany. He then continued his schooling at Utah Valley University in Orem, and then finished his degree at the University of Utah. During this time he worked full time at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center as an RN in the Cardiac ICU and cardiac catheterization lab for eight years. His goal all along was to get back to the Carbon and Emery county area. After graduation he had the opportunity to work at Carbon Medical Service in East Carbon and Helper doing family practice. He worked there for five years and enjoyed his time there.

To schedule an appointment or for more information please call 435-381-2305. Please give the receptionist complete information about the kind of appointment you are requesting, for example, a new patient consultation, or a routine follow-up.

If you are a new patient please arrive thirty minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow us time to gather your insurance information and other health and personal information.

Friday: 7 am – 5 pm

If you should experience an emergency after business hours please call Castleview Hospital's main number at (435) 637-6734 and your call will be promptly answered and responded to, or go to the Emergency Department at Castleview Hospital. 

Insurance / Billing

Emery Medical Center accepts Medicaid, Medicare, Champus, BlueCross/BlueShield, Educators, PEHP, IBEW, Beechstreet, United Health Care, Cigna, Wise, Altius, and most other Insurance Plans.

We will gladly file your insurance for you. However, we request your portion (co-payment, deductible, or co-insurance) be paid at the time services are rendered. These payments may be made by cash, check, or credit card.
